This has been the vision of Swansea Travel & Cruise since Sue & Chris Paul established the business in February, 2000. We take great pride in our attention to detail. Our many, many repeat clients are testimony to the service that we provide.
Since 2003 our expertise in planning and leading group tours to many destinations throughout the world has grown. Those destinations include the ever-popular Canada/Alaska tour, Eastern Canada and the USA, the Mediterranean, the Baltic and Scandinavia, the UK and Ireland, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Swansea Travel & Cruise has been a winner in the Best Travel Agent category of the Lake Macquarie Business Awards and has been recognized in the region’s “Fastest Growing Business” Awards. Many school, sporting, charitable and community organisations have benefited over the years through the support of Swansea Travel & Cruise.
The Team
As a member of the Express Travel Group – Australia’s largest group of independent travel experts – the team at Swansea Travel & Cruise has kept abreast of changes in the travel industry. In 2017 Sue and Chris attended ETG forums in Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur event delivered on the promise of engaging presentations, practical learning sessions, informative product and technology updates, as well as relevant and focused supplier training. Regular attendance at industry seminars is a vital component of our business.
Sue Paul
Owner / Director
Sue has been in the travel industry for over 30 years and has travelled to most corners of the globe. Canada/Alaska, the US and Europe are specialties for Sue, particularly in relation to Group Touring. Sue can also share her wide experience of the African continent, in particular the game parks and Egypt. She can also count the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore among the destinations she has visited. Both river cruising and ocean-liner cruising are favourites with Sue.
Lisa Ryan
Office Manager
Lisa has now been in the industry for over 30 years and with us for more than half of that time. Lisa has travelled extensively throughout Asia (including India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and China), has toured through Europe and British Columbia, and is our Antacrtica specialist, having travelled to that destination several years ago. However, Lisa’s passion is Bali. When it comes to advice and arrangements for a holiday in Bali, there is none better than Lisa Ryan. A favourite pastime for Lisa is netball.
Chris Paul
Owner / Business Development
Chris joined Sue in building the business from scratch, commencing in February, 2000. He has wide general experience in administrative positions, and has travelled extensively. He shares Sue’s enthusiasm for Canada, the USA, Europe (including river cruising), as well as the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore. Closer to home Norfolk Island and Tasmania are among Chris’s favourite destinations. Chris can usually be found pursuing one of his favourite local sporting interests.
